Announcing: Regular Saturday Open Hours at the Rag & Bones Bicycle Co-op

Starting May 6th 2017, the Rag & Bones Bicycle Co-op in Scott's Addition (3110 West Leigh Street, Richmond VA) will be holding regular Saturday open hours. Every Saturday, 10am-6pm. 

During these hours, the co-op is open to the public. You can go there to use their tools  for free and learn how to repair and tune up your bicycle from a knowledgeable volunteer. Rag & Bones is dedicated to providing a safe and inclusive space for all members of the community, and often opens its doors as a venue for political and community events.

Opening Day at the Birdhouse Farmer's Market

Tomorrow, May 2nd 2017, from 3-6:30pm, next to the Randolph Community Center Pool (1507 Grayland Avenue, Richmond VA), the Birdhouse Farmers Market is opening for the season. Check out their new website, at BirdhouseFarmersMarket.org, and stop by to meet their new vendors. Some new developments include: cooking demonstrations every other week, a weekly concert series (the Tiny Nest Concert Series- isn't that cute?), and more.

The market is convenient to VCU, Oregon Hill, Byrd Park, and the Fan, and runs every Tuesday from 3-6:30pm. SNAP EBT, credit/debit cards, and cash are accepted.

Women, Trans, Femme Wednesday Night Ride

RVA Women Trans Femme Wednesday, a Richmond bicycling club which organizing social rides for women, transgender, and femme people on Wednesday nights, is resuming their regular schedule.

Their next ride will be this coming Wednesday, October 5th 2016, at 9pm, starting out from the VCU Compass (901 Park Avenue, Richmond VA). The ride begins at 9:15pm. Bring lights. Free.
